While the Maruti Vitara Brezza has wrested back its crown from the Hyundai Creta, a revival in demand for the S-Cross sees it notch its highest-ever monthly sales in July.

Longstanding UV market leader Maruti Vitara Brezza, which lost its No. 1 position to the Hyundai Creta in June after a 23-month run in the domestic market, has wrested back its throne. The two high-selling SUVs have been fighting a pitched battle for long. Both the Creta and Brezza have very recently received midlife updates. While the Creta received a host of styling tweaks and feature upgrades including a sunroof and an electronically adjustable driver’s seat, the Brezza got a boost in its safety equipment as well as the option of an AMT with its 1.3-litre diesel engine.
