Top 10 PVs – October 2019 | Kia Seltos and Maruti S-Presso break into bestsellers' list
October, which had Dhanteras, Navratri and Diwali in it, saw the PV segment return to the black after 11 months. With the new S-Presso, Maruti now commands eight of the top 10 spots, even as India’s best-selling UV, the Kia Seltos, checks in.

Kia Seltos, which has taken the UV crown in October with sales of 12,786 units, debuts in the Top 10 PVs list as does the Maruti S-Presso, with sales of 10,634 units. The Dzire and Swift, the No. 2
The passenger vehicle (PV) segment was the sole one to be in positive zone last month, albeit flat sales at 285,027 (0.28%). While passenger cars at 173,649 units were down 6.34% YoY and vans down 35% at 10,653 units, the robust performance of UVs at 100,725 units and 22% YoY growth, gave PV OEMs some reason to smile. It helped that the month of October had all of three festivals in it –Dhanteras, Navratri and Diwali.
