Jupiter notches 5 million units, makes up 65% of TVS scooter sales since FY2014

On September 23, TVS launched the updated 110cc Jupiter Classic. Since FY2014, Jupiter, now also in 125cc, continues to tick all the right boxes. With the NTorq, it has given TVS a 24% market share.

The Jupiter, TVS Motor Co’s flagship scooter, available in 110cc and 125cc variants, has notched a new milestone in the India market: 5,000,000 or five million units. As per Autocar Professional’s data analytics, the five-million sales milestone came up in June 2022.

This means the Jupiter, which was launched on September 16, 2013 as a 110cc model, has taken 106 months or a little less than nine years (108 months) to ride past the landmark. From launch through till end-August 2022, the Jupiter has gone home to 5,180,748 buyers across India. Its best 12-month sales came in FY2018 ...
