The scooter market in India is where the most excitement is on two wheels. Once a urban phenomenon, the wave of scooterisation is fast spreading across town and country, reason enough for two-wheeler OEMs to shift gear in this segment.

For the first four months of FY2018 (April-July 2017), the scooter segment has sold 2,217,499 units, which marks 18.16% YoY growth. In July 2017, 569,809 buyers rode home on a new scooter, giving the scooter industry 13% YoY growth.
