The Indian scooter market is setting new landmarks with every passing month. August 2016, which recorded total sales of 567,782 scooters (+32.92% YoY), saw Honda Activa sales soar to new heights even as the TVS Jupiter, the second bestselling scooter, crossed the 50,000-unit sales mark for the first time during any month.
That said, other popular scooter models such as Hero’s Maestro, Honda’s Dio, Suzuki’s Access and Yamaha’s Ray also registered a surge in their monthly volumes in August 2016.
