India's Best-Selling UVs – February 2019 | The Vitara Brezza and Creta show continues
The utility vehicle segment, like the passenger vehicle segment, has been feeling the pressure of slowing sales. But that hasn’t dampened demand for the popular buys.
Utility vehicles (UVs), the once flourishing segment in the passenger vehicle (PV) space which was accelerating at a growth rate of close to 20 percent in FY2018, has now come down dramatically with overall growth until the penultimate month of the ongoing fiscal being pegged at a mere 2.09 percent.
Utility vehicle sales between April 2018 and February 2019 stand at 848,240 units (April-February 2018: 830,839) and even PVs overall have posted low single-digit growth rate of 3.27 percent with sales of 3,085,640 units (April-February 2018: 2,987,859) during the period.
