Top 3 carmakers post declines in sales in January 2014
The year 2014 has begun on a tough note for carmakers. Overall passenger car sales in January 2014 fell 7.59 percent to 160,289 units (January 2013: 173,449). Sales of utility vehicles too were down – 45,941, down 6.27 percent (January 2013:49,015). And vans took a 32 percent hit with sales of 13,579 units (January 2013: 19,996).
