BMW Motorrad India sells 5,000 bikes in 2021, G 310s clock 4,500 units
Clocking 95% YoY growth in a difficult market conditions is laudable; made-in-Hosur G 310 R and G 310 GS account for nearly 90% of sales; cumulative BMW Motorrad sales cross 12,400 units in India.
BMW Motorrad India, the two-wheeler arm of the BMW Group in the country, is on a roll. The company has announced record sales of exactly 5,000 units in 2021, its best annual sales yet and a strong 95% year-on-year increase (CY2020: 2,563 units). This is a laudable performance coming in the face of rather difficult market conditions.
Between late 2017, when it began operations in the country, and 2021, BMW Motorrad India has sold a total of 12,405 units (see data table below), with 2021 being the best year by far.
