​Tata Motors on track to sell 500,000 PVs, 50,000 EVs in FY2023

With 272,450 units including 20,805 EVs sold in H1 FY2023, 54.5% of its half-a-million PVs target, Tata is well set to achieve its goal. And the Tiago EV will provide a booster shot.

Tata Motors, which recorded its best-ever monthly sales of 47,654 units (up 85% YoY) in September 2022 and cumulative sales of 272,450 units (up 84% YoY) in the first six months of the ongoing fiscal, is currently well on track to achieving its goals for FY2023 – half-a-million passenger vehicles including 50,000 EVs.

While the overriding target for PVs is 500,000 units, which is a 34% YoY increase over FY2022’s 373,138 units, Tata Motors is also gunning for 10% of its PV sales to comprise electric vehicles (EVs) in FY2023. As regards the first goal, at the end ...
