Building on the 2019 launch of the hybrid instrument cluster in the Kia Seltos, global Tier 1 supplier Visteon has further enhanced its regional supplier position in the digital cluster segment in India. The company has debuted its cockpit technology in new Hyundai Creta SUV, which was launched in March this year.
The new Creta’s cabin’s sleek look benefits from Visteon’s sophisticated and practical cluster solution. Delivering standard 3.5-inch mono and the customer-specific 7-inch 'supervision' thin-film transistor (TFT) variants, Visteon’s cluster offers all custom platform features – from critical driver information to tell-tale indicators and warnings – presented in an easy-to-access and intuitive display.
According to Visteon, the supervision cluster delivers heightened customisability with Drive Mode Shift – an innovative functionality providing the ability to access and apply different themes and skins, including eco, comfort and sport, based on visual preferences.
As an additional domestic market feature, the cluster also supports Hindi language for regional customers.
Commenting on the Visteon product for the new Creta, Aashish Bhatia, President, Visteon India, said: “Visteon continues to push the boundaries when it comes to cockpit electronics, which subsequently helps to foster a flourishing business relationship with our customers. This latest cluster launch is a perfect example of the company leveraging its state-of-the-art capabilities, bringing added value to Hyundai through an advanced solution in a competitive space. Visteon's cluster variants deliver a striking, stand-out in-car experience – enabled by the very latest in cutting-edge technology.”
