TVS Motor Co today launched the range-topping variant of its Raider 125 motorcycle, which was rolled out in the Indian market 13 months ago on September 16, 2021. Priced at Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), the highlight of the bike is a 5-inch TFT cluster. The standard Raider 125 continues to have a digital LCD display.

Equipping the Raider 125 with a five-inch TFT cluster has brought a whole bunch of features. The TFT dash can be paired with the rider’s smartphone enabling receiving of notification alerts, weather forecast as well as turn-by-turn navigation. Also, when the low-fuel warning light comes on, the Raider 125 will automatically navigate to the nearest petrol station.

Aniruddha Haldar, Senior VP, Commuters, Corporate Brand & Dealer Transformation, TVS Motor Company, said, “The TVS Raider is now entering its next phase with the SmartXonnect TFT variant, which adds to the motorcycle’s charm with a lot more first-in-class connected features including a TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, voice assist and more.”

Another highlight is voice recognition, which enables the rider to control the parameters of navigation or music by simply telling the motorcycle to do so. The brightness of the TFT screen can also be adjusted.

Mechanically, there is no change to the motorcycle. The TVS Raider 125 continues to be powered by the oil-cooled, 124.8cc single-cylinder engine which develops 11.4hp at 7500rpm and 11.2 Nm of torque at 6000rpm. This engine, which has two power modes (Power and Eco) is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handld by a telescopic fork and monoshock, and the Raider runs on 17-inch cast alloy wheels. The TFT cluster-equipped Raider 125 can only be had with a disc brake at the front.
