TVS to launch King three-wheeler in Sri Lanka

The company has tied up with Abans Auto to market the TVS King through a network of over 200 showrooms and dealers in strategic locations in the country.

TVS to launch King three-wheeler in Sri Lanka

TVS Motor Co has partnered with Abans Auto, a leading distributor in Sri Lanka, to launch and market the TVS King three-wheeler in the Sri Lankan market. The passenger carrier has been launched at a price of LKR 691,850. TVS Motor will leverage Abans Auto’s network of over 200 showrooms and dealers in strategic locations in the country. Abans Finance will also offer finance schemes to customers at affordable rates.

Commenting on the partnership, R Dilip, senior VP (International business), TVS Motor, said, Abans Auto has an unrivalled distribution of 200 showrooms and touchpoints across the country. Known for providing superior customer experience in sales and service, it is an ideal platform for the TVS King to gain acceptance in the country. 

“The TVS King is ideally suited for Sri Lankan conditions, and far superior to the competition, with an affordable price. We are confident that it will sell well in our country,” said Behman Pestonjee, MD, Abans.

Some of the 200cc TVS King’s highlights include a low-friction, 7-port engine with peak torque at lower rpm, 35 watt twin headlamps, large windshield with laminated glass, car-like dashboard with fuel level indicators and mobile phone charging socket, dual-tone high-quality seats and an integrated bumper.
