Triumph Motorcycles expands to Chandigarh and Kolkata

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched two new dealerships in Chandigarh and Kolkata in quick succession.

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched two new dealerships in Chandigarh and Kolkata in quick succession. With these new dealerships, Triumph motorcycles now sell in 10 cities across the country, the other eight being Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai.

The company has also announced that it has clocked 1,000 bookings across five model categories after opening its first dealership in January 2014. According to Vimal Sumbly, managing director, Triumph Motorcycles India, said, Both Kolkata and Chandigarh are very fascinating markets and will help with the steady growth of the brand here in India. The opening of the two dealerships strengthens our commitment to better establish the brand in the local market.” 

“We have successfully sold 1,000 motorcycles (wholesale and retail) and the number is growing progressively by the day. The ride quality and experience offered by a Triumph Motorcycle suits the individual needs of every biking enthusiast and we are expecting great response from the enthusiasts.” 

All the current operational dealerships have an ultra-modern showroom integrated with an after-sales service facility featuring service bays and spare parts inventory. The design of the showrooms is based upon the global signature Triumph Motorcycles layout with consultation lounge, sales and aftersales desks all being close to the display area. The dealerships also boast of ‘Build your own Bike’, a novel concept in the premium and luxury motorcycle segment.

The facilities also sell Triumph merchandise which includes riding gear, accessories and memorabilia. Triumph says the staff at all the 10 dealerships has been provided with intense training in management of sales, service, spare parts and business systems and customer service to ensure customers receive a best-in-class pre and post sales ownership experience across the country keeping in mind the global standards. The team is trained by experts from Hinckley and the training is carried out at the Manesar plant.
