Toyota's Fortuner, Crysta more costly

In its third price hike this year, the Toyota Fortuner SUV has become more expensive by up to Rs 114,000 ex-showroom, to now range between Rs 32.40 lakh and Rs 49.57 lakh, ex-showroom. Dominating its segment, the Fortuner facelift, which was introduced in 2021, has seen prices being increased by up to 9 percent since launch.

With the latest price hike, the standard Fortuner - petrol and diesel with manual and automatic transmissions – now costs Rs 61,000 more, while the four-wheel drive versions have increased by Rs 80,000. The prices of the Legender and GR Sport versions, on the other hand, have been hiked by Rs 1.14 lakh. The price revision has been done on account of increasing commodity prices as well as rising input costs.

India’s popular people mover, the Toyota Innova Crysta too has received a price hike of up to Rs 86,000, to now range between Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 26.54 lakh, ex-showroom. Prices of the petrol variants, however, have been kept steady and there’s a uniform price hike of Rs 27,000 on the diesel-manual trims of the MPV. The maximum price increment has been brought to the diesel-automatic variants.
