Bengaluru-based Altigreen, an EV company specialising in last-mile three-wheeler products inaugurated their first premium retail experience centre in Thane, Mumbai today.
The centre is designed to offer walk-in customers — in this case drivers who are in the last mile delivery business — a sense of ownership and respect when they opt for this India-made EV.
Altigreen has partnered with multi automotive brand retail outfit Jubilant MotorWorks for the retail exercise and there are plans to open a few more outlets in the coming weeks in various states.
Currently, Jubilant MotorWorks are the largest dealer partners for Audi and MG motors, with footprints in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. The Altigreen Retail Experience centre is conveniently located in Ghodbunder Road, Thane (W) and will offer a full range of after sales services.

Dr Amitabh Saran, Founder and CEO, Altigreen, said, “The rising levels of air pollution in smaller cities beyond the major Indian metropolises has accelerated the need to adopt a futuristic approach to effectively combat the rising menace. India is amongst the top greenhouse gas emitters in the world. Besides, we are also price-sensitive and prone to sluggish technology shifts. Rising fuel costs in India are a good reason to re-evaluate the policy framework to accelerate adoption in the commercial segment. It is important for players like us to provide the city with efficient and sustainable modes of transport. With our EV range, we aim to provide best-in-class products for both goods and people movement with zero carbon emissions.”
For its business, Altigreen has received funds from several investors including fashion icon Anita Dongre, founder of House of Anita Dongre (HOAD). Dongre participated in the launch event as a guest of honour. Dr Saran also mentioned that in the past, Altigreen has received investment from the family office of HOAD to support its vision of efficient, affordable and accessible carbon-free transportation.

Tech-focussed Altigreen claims that it has been able to achieve close to 100 percent localisation of its products including the neEV 3W CV.
With the launch of this retail concept, Altigreen is focussing on providing its consumers an enhanced and never-seen-before experience with world-class and modern infrastructure. Altigreen claims its curated products offer the longest range, the largest volumetric capacity, the highest ground clearance and the greatest torque.
Sharing more details of the neEV model, Dr Saran said that the 48-volt battery pack can, on a single charge, offer a working range of 151 kms and it takes about six hours to fully charge the pack. Dr Saran also mentioned that the three-wheeler gets independent rear suspension, drum brakes at the rear and an industry first disc brake arrangement up front for better handling and safety. The battery pack is placed in the centre for better centre of gravity and stability of the vehicle.
