Tata Motors delivers 10 Tigor EVs to ANP Travels in Bangalore
The company says its witnessing traction for its e-mobility business in Bangalore.
Tata Motors, first electric vehicle offering the Tigor EV is gaining traction in the fleet segment. The company announced today that it has got another order for its EV offering from ANP Travels, making Bangalore a significant market for the Tata Motors e-mobility play.
The company says the Tata Tigor EV is addressing the growing demand of the city to travel in electric vehicles, and a it is witnessing large orders coming in from a number of fleet segment in the country from Bangalore. Under Employee Transportation Services (ETS), the company through various fleet operators is catering to some of the top MNCs and Indian companies in the city such as Capgemini, KPMG, J P Morgan, Titan, amongst others. Today, the company delivered Tata Tigor EV cars to ANP Travels to cater to employees mobility needs working with such large corporate's.
On August 2, Tata Motors announced partnering Tata Power to install 300 charging stations by the end of this fiscal year. Bangalore is one of the top 5 key cities identified for setting up these charging stations. The chargers will be operated by Tata Power and will be installed at Tata Motors dealerships, certain Tata Group retail outlets, and other public locations.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashesh Dhar, head – sales, marketing and customer care, Electric Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “India Inc. understands the inherent benefits of EVs and are proactively working towards promoting zero-emission vehicles for their employees’ mobility needs. Many fleet owners too are taking the pragmatic initiative of inducting electric vehicles in their fleets due to the growing consumer demand. We are delighted to share that our award-winning Tigor EV is addressing this growing demand of the city to travel in electric vehicles. We remain committed to the sustainable mobility mission and will continue to work towards bringing aspirational e-mobility solutions for customers, leading the drive towards faster adoption of electric vehicles in the country.”
The carmaker says it aims to play a leading role in proactively driving the e-mobility in the country. The company has prioritised its EV capabilities and today is among the frontrunners in this industry. Tata Motors says to build a sustainable future for India, it has been working collaboratively on various electric and hybrid vehicle solutions.
