Tata Elxsi opens development centre
This new centre at Thiruvananthapuram is an LEED-certified green building and has labs for EV, connected Car, OTT, 5G, and digital technologies, and seating for over 2000 employees, the company said in a statement.
Tata Elxsi, a leading design and technology company that offers software services to auto companies amongst others inaugurated its new technology development centre in Thiruvananthapuram. This new centre is a LEED-certified green building and has labs for EV, connected Car, OTT, 5G, and digital technologies, and seating for over 2000 employees, the company said in a statement.
At the handover ceremony in Trivandrum today, P Rajeev, the state’s Minister for Industries, Law and Coir, said, “Tata Elxsi has been among the first companies to establish a tech presence in Kerala, and this Rs 75 crore project will expand its footprint and create direct and indirect employment for 4000 people.”
M. Thangarajan, COO Tata Elxsi said that Tata Elxsi has been the employer of choice for dedicated engineers who want to challenge themselves with technology, digital and next-gen product engineering, and build rewarding careers. "Our centres in Thiruvananthapuram have fostered outstanding engineers and technologists who are now working with us on projects around the globe, from the USA to UK and Japan.”
Part of the Tata Group, the company is in the process of inducting around 1000 engineers in the next few quarters to meet the rising demand from the segment. The company had already recruited over 2000 odd engineers last year including 1000 for the transportation segment alone. The company opened an office in Hyderabad last year to address the needs of the company's transportation customers.
