Swaran Singh appointed CEO of Srinivasan Services Trust (SST)
The social arm of the TVS Motor company appointed the retired IAS officer as its new CEO who had been serving as the deputy chairman of the Trust since 2017.
Srinivasan Services Trust (SST), the social arm of TVS Motor Company and Sundaram-Clayton has appointed Swaran Singh as the new CEO of the Trust, effective from August 1, 2018. This announcement was followed by the news that Ashoke Joshi, who served as the chairman of the Trust for the past 14 years, will now be playing the role of the advisor to the Trust.
SST currently extends its services to more than 5000 villages in India across five states. The Trust claims to have reached out to more than 3 million lives since 2014. SST is said to be involved in the transformation of villages through women’s empowerment, creating a holistic impact on the economic development, health, education and environment of these villages.
Before joining the Trust, Singh had held significant portfolios in the Government of Tamil Nadu which includes the corporation commissioner, Trichy, district collector of Tuticorin, chairman and MD of TWAD board and chairman of TNEB. He retired from the Government of Tamil Nadu as Principal Secretary & Commissioner for Industries & Commerce.
