Okinawa Autotech partners Italy's Tacita

Okinawa will provide the local development of the future product and its production line while Tacita will provide the powertrain – controller, motor, battery packs and BMS.

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Okinawa Autotech has partnered with Tacita, an Italian manufacturer of electric and performance motorcycles to form a new company. 

This Joint venture will consist of both scooters and motorcycles for domestic and international markets. The company will be based in India and will begin production from 2023 at Okinawa's second facility in Rajasthan. 

The design work will be done in Italy and the road tests will be carried out both in India and Italy. Okinawa will provide the local development of the future product and its production line while Tacita will provide the powertrain – controller, motor, battery packs and BMS.

Jeetender Sharma, MD & Founder, Okinawa Autotech, said, “Tacita will help us in creating a marketplace that matches the demand for futuristic technology and products. Their advanced and futuristic technology will also further broaden and strengthen our existing product range.”
