The 2020 Mahindra Thar’s price range starts at Rs 980,000 for the base AX petrol-manual and tops out at Rs 13.75 lakh for the fully-loaded LX diesel-automatic
Thar has two engines on offer: a 152hp, 2.0-litre 'mStallion' petrol and a 132hp, 2.2-litre mHawk unit. Four-wheel-drive and a manual-shift transfer case are standard on all versions.
The new Mahindra Thar’s interior features a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, roof-mounted speakers, a colour multi-info display for the instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls and cruise control.

The indications of robust market demand were all there. On October 6 itself, within 4 days of its launch, the new Mahindra Thar had received over 9,000 bookings. Now, 17 days after launch, the company has announced that the vehicle has crossed the 15,000 bookings mark.
