Motherson Sumi Systems (MSSL), the country’s largest component manufacturer, has announced robust results for FY2018 and Q4 FY2018. For the fiscal the company posted a revenue of Rs 55,857 crore, up 33 percent and PAT of Rs 1,939 crore, up 25 percent.
For Q4 FY2018, the revenue was Rs 15,282 crore and consolidated EBITDA of Rs 1,667 crore, compared to revenue of Rs 11,100 crore and EBITDA of Rs 1,291 crore in the same period for the previous year.
Vivek Chaand Sehgal, chairman, MSSL said, “Our order books have registered the highest ever at Rs 1.3 lakh crore at Samvardhana Motherson Automotive System Group (SMRPBV). It has been an eventful year which has seen huge greenfield expansion to enable execution of the orders in the coming years and on the inorganic side the proposed acquisition of Reydel Automotive is on schedule. We are also very happy with the members from PKC Group, who have wholeheartedly embraced the Motherson family. There is a lot to be excited about and as always, together, we look forward to greater challenges and even greater rewards.”

For fiscal 2018, the company states that its revenue from outside India grew by 35 percent; domestic revenues by 21 percent, while PBT increased by 18 percent and PAT by 25 percent. The EBITDA margin increased 28 percent, while standalone revenues up by 19 percent. The company received new orders (lifetime value at average Euro rate) for the full year amounting over Rs 35,464 crore Rs 18,109 crores in the second half of FY 2017-18.
The company executed orders amounting around Rs 3,320 crore beginning in H2 FY2017-18, while it claims to have a total order book of around Rs 129,785 crore.
