MG Motor India converts Hector SUV as an ambulance in 10 days to help Covid-19 patients

MG Motor India says that looking at the immediate need for support, the Hector SUV conversion was completed within a short span of 10 days and has been developed by its Indian engineering team at Halol.

MG Motor India is coming out with number of initiatives to help the country and frontline warriors in the fight against Covid-19. Just a day after it announced partnering Vadodara-based MAX Ventilator, a part of A.B. Industries, to increase ventilator production to fight the Corona virus pandemic, the OEM has donated Hector SUV modified as an ambulance to healthcare authorities in Vadodara.

MG Motor India says that looking at the immediate need for support, the Hector SUV conversion was completed within a short span of 10 days and has been developed by its Indian engineering team at Halol, in partnership with Ahmedabad-based Natraj Motor Body Builders.

In terms of lifesaving equipment’s, the ambulance is equipped with imported auto-loading stretcher, oxygen system with cylinder, fire extinguisher, medicine cabinet with 5 parameter monitor, internal lighting and top light bar with siren and amplifier, inverter with battery & sockets and medical equipment. The jump seat for an attendant is a reused rear seat that also enables cost-saving.
