Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India selects Capgemini for delivery transformation and operational excellence
Capgemini will provide application development and maintenance services to Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India for the next five years.
Global IT-services provider Capgemini has been selected by Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) to provide application development and maintenance services.
The company says the contract was awarded as part of a vendor consolidation exercise, where Capgemini was selected as one of the major partners in this multi-vendor deal, for its industry-leading expertise in application services, and proven technology and delivery capabilities in business transformation.
Capegemini says the renewed agreement is the result of a strong foundational partnership between the two organisations established over the last few years. As per the terms, Capgemini will enable application development and maintenance across all the client’s application clusters including, generic, testing and niche technologies. The engagement will help to drive strategic change and disruptive innovation through increased efficiencies, continuous improvement, optimised costs, a more secure application landscape, and improved compliance and governance.
Ashwin Yardi, CEO, Capgemini in India and member of the Group Executive Committee said, “Leading businesses leverage technology to create engaging customer experiences for their clients. They also want to steer market disruption through innovation to deliver enhanced business value. We are delighted to be a lead partner in the digital transformation journey of the captive unit, to transform their current IT into valuable assets aligned to the business objectives of their headquarters.”
