Mercedes-Benz launches C-class Edition C at Rs 42.54 lakh
Special edition Mercedes C-class is offered in a new red paint option and comes with cosmetic upgrades.
Mercedes-Benz India today has launched a special edition C-class, dubbed the Edition C, in an effort to expand its model line-up and also spur buyer interest amid the ongoing festive season.
The C-class ‘Edition C’ is priced at Rs 42.54 lakh for the C 200 Avantgarde, Rs 43.54 lakh for the C 220 d Avantgarde and Rs 46.87 lakh for the C 250 d Avantgarde (all prices are ex -showroom, India). The special edition variant is not offered on the C 200 Style.
The Edition C models are offered with the option of an attractive red paint scheme, called Hyacinth red, and come with a host of cosmetic additions that differentiate them from the standard C-class.
Exterior upgrades include elements such as a front lip spoiler, rear spoiler and five-spoke alloys finished in black. Also accentuating the sporty look are black painted front twin louvers, mirror housings, beltline and side skirts. In addition, the sedans get an ‘Edition C’ exterior badge.
On the inside, the cabin of the special edition C-class is now finished in black ash wood (from the C 63 S), and stainless steel pedals and Garmin Map Pilot SD card navigation are now standard across all Edition C variants. Both are an optional extra on the standard C-class models.
The carmaker has also announced that the C-class has sold 27,500 units since its debut in India, where it rivals the likes of the BMW 3-series, Audi A4 and Volvo S60.
