Mahindra rolls out 25,000th Marazzo MPV at Nashik

Mahindra has rolled out the 25,000th unit of its Marazzo MPV at its Nashik plant. The Marazzo launched in India on September 3, 2018.

The carmaker's rival to the Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in India has since then been available with multiple seating configurations and four trims – starting from the base-spec M2, going up to the top-spec M8, with the M4 and M6 as mid-spec variants.

The Marazzo is sold with a single engine option – a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel, good for 123hp and 300Nm of torque. The sole transmission will be a 6-speed manual, with an automatic expected to launch later.

In December last year, Global NCAP awarded the Mahindra Marazzo a 4-star safety rating for adult occupancy. The MPV scored 12.85 out of 17 in adult safety and 22.22 out of 49 in child occupancy (two stars). The test results are valid for all Marazzos made after November 16, 2018. The Mahindra Marazzo MPV comes with dual front airbags, a passenger airbag off-switch, a speed-sensitive door lock/unlock feature, ABS with EBD and brake-assist and Isofix child-seat mounts as standard equipment on all its variants.

The Mahindra Marazzo is priced from Rs 10.17 lakh going up to Rs 17.41 lakh for the top-spec M8 variant.
