Polaris India, which sells Indian Motorcycles, today launched the all-new 2016 Indian Scout Sixty in India. The 999cc motorcycle is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be available in three colours – Thunder Black, Red and Pearl White – from July onwards.
Expected to be the company’s most affordable offering in the country, the Scout Sixty will sit below the current Scout in Indian’s line-up. It also shares much components with its larger sibling, including identical chassis, suspension, brakes and core engine, all mated with a new 60 cubic inch engine. The 5-speed transmission is coupled with the 78hp engine that produces a peak torque of 5,800rpm.
Commenting on the launch of the 2016 Scout Sixty in India, Pankaj Dubey, managing director, Polaris India said, “The legendary heritage of the Indian Scout is carried forward in the all-new 2016 Indian Scout Sixty. Expertly balanced and lightweight, the bike has won the hearts of bike enthusiasts around the globe.
