Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 both aced the Global NCAP crash test with a five-star rating. Every NCAP has its own protocol to crash-test and score cars. With Manesar-based ICAT capable of conducting crash and other tests, it is felt an India-specific programme would put an end to often unfounded arguments for or against a model’s crashworthiness.
