India Yamaha Motor sells 51,106 units in November, registers 20% growth
These sales are despite a sluggish market environment which has impacted the automobile sector, especially the two-wheeler segment in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has announced a 20 percent growth in domestic sales (including Nepal) in November 2016. The company sold 51,106 units in November 2016 as against 42,719 units sold in November last year.
These sales are despite a sluggish market environment which has impacted the automobile sector, especially the two-wheeler segment in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Commenting on the company’s sales, Roy Kurian, vice-president, Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales, said, “The continuous growth numbers are a sign of Yamaha’s robust business plan and strategic customer engagement programs. The company is en route to achieving a million units in 2017 through exciting products and by expanding its 3S network. In November, Yamaha achieved a decent sales volume in spite of the restrained growth in business activities due to decreased liquidity which is more visible in semi-urban and rural areas.”
