Hero MotoCorp’s Anil Dua quits to pursue opportunity overseas
Anil Dua, Hero MotoCorp’s senior vice-president (Sales & Marketing), has called it a day at the country’s largest two-wheeler company.
Anil Dua, Hero MotoCorp’s senior vice-president (Sales & Marketing), has called it a day at the country’s largest two-wheeler company. A statement issued by the company says that he will continue in his current role till June 24, 2014.
While the national marketing and sales functions will continue to be headed by Sanjeev Shukla and A Srinivasu respectively, the national dealer development and aftersales service functions will remain with Ajay Dikshit and Rajesh Mukhija, respectively.
Dua, who has been with Hero MotoCorp for over eight years, is known to have driven the company’s aggressive marketing initiatives and distribution network. Commenting on Dua’s decision to leave the company, Pawan Munjal, MD and CEO, said, “Anil’s contribution towards the growth of the company is highly appreciated. He played an important role in doubling of sales volumes and increasing market share during the past eight years. I thank Anil for his contributions and wish him all the very best in his future endeavour.”
Anil Dua said, “I have had an extremely fulfilling time at Hero MotoCorp, which continues to be the No. 1 two-wheeler brand and is going from strength to strength. I thank Mr Munjal and the senior leadership team at Hero for their valuable support and guidance. I have accepted an exciting opportunity outside of the country to begin a new chapter in my professional career.”
In May 2014, Hero MotoCorp, riding on robust volumes driven by new launches, sold 602,481 two-wheelers, its highest-ever despatch sales for any non-festival period. The previous highest was in April 2014 when it sold 571,054 units.
