Following the launch of the electric Optima ER and Nyx ER earlier this month, Hero Electric has now introduced a new model in its portfolio: the Dash. Priced at Rs 62,000, the Dash is powered by a 28Ah lithium-ion battery that takes a claimed 4 hours for a full charge. At full capacity, the e-scooter deliver a claimed travel range of 60km, which is rather low, but then Hero Electric has said that most of its range is targeted at commercial usage.

Standard features on the Dash include LED DRLs and headlight, a digital instrument cluster, USB charging port, tubeless tyres, and a remote access to the boot (under the seat).

Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric India said, “Hero Electric is determined to deliver the best of electric two-wheeler mobility options to eco-conscious customers who prefer smarter mobility solutions. The all-new Dash is our latest and most lucrative offering that offers style, practicality, performance with a powerful Li-Ion battery that is portable and reliable. I am certain it will appeal to people of all age groups. As always, we will continue to bring in new and better products and are always listening to customer feedback.”

At present, Hero Electric has 615 touchpoints across the nation and intends to take that number to 1,000 by the end of 2020. The company has revealed that they also have plans to ramp up production to 500,000 units per annum in the next three years.

Just like Okinawa, Ampere Vehicles and Ather Energy, Hero Electric's e-scooter prices have also seen a reduction in costs due to the recent 7 percent reduction in GST rates for EVs. The price mentioned for the Hero Dash are including the reduced rate.
