The Roadster, which is the latest member of the Harley-Davidson Sportster family, will be assembled at the company’s Bawal plant in Haryana. The Road Glide Special tourer is powered by the all-new Milwaukee-Eight engine. According to the company, this ninth-generation big-twin engine delivers more power, quicker throttle response, purer sound, a smoother ride and an improved motorcycling experience.
The engine is offered in two variants:
- Milwaukee-Eight 107 (107CID, 1745cc) for the Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special and Road King.
- Twin-cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 (114CID, 1870cc) for the CVO Limited.
While the Road Glide Special is priced at Rs 3,281,000, the Street Glide Special bears a sticker tag of Rs 3,125,000. Further, the Street 750 can be upgraded with ABS at Rs 491,000, the Roadster will cost Rs 970,000 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

The 2017 models also come equipped with ABS, an added feature across all 13 Harley-Davidson motorcycles in India.
Speaking at the launch today in New Delhi, Vikram Pawah, MD, Harley-Davidson India, said: “Our latest offerings demonstrate our commitment to deliver world-class products to our customers in India. The introduction of the Milwaukee-Eight engine in our touring lineup is a direct response to the voice of Harley-Davidson customers around the world and we are thrilled to bring the same to India.”
