In Gujarat, the price of petrol will come down by Rs 2.93 and diesel by Rs 2.72 per litre; Maharashtra will see prices down by Rs 2 and Rs 1 for a litre of petrol and diesel respectively. The new prices will be effective from midnight.
Commenting on the Gujarat government’s VAT cut, Vijay Rupani, chief minister said, “The effective price of petrol in Gujarat from mid-night today will be Rs 67.53 per litre and that of diesel Rs 60.77 per litre.”
