GM India’s new Gurgaon headquarters office is drawing a lot of attention for its ‘cool’ quotient. It was named one of the 16 Office Spaces in India So Cool That You’ll Wish You Worked There by Scoopwhoop.com for its brand new look and style.

The Gurgaon headquarters office serves as the working home for more than 200 GM India employees from 10 functions, including Communications, Finance, GBS, Human Resources, IT, Legal, Public Affairs and VSSM. They are overseeing GM’s extensive operations across India as the company rolls out $1 billion in new investment.

Like the GMI Singapore headquarters office, the Gurgaon headquarters office has an open-desk policy. Employees can sit where they like on a first-come, first-served basis on a daily basis. This allows them to perform at their best in a user-friendly environment.

The office has adopted vehicle-theme elements. They include traffic light-shaped lamps in open areas and cut-outs of real cars that serve as comfortable places for holding informal meetings. There is even a foosball table to help employees relax and get to know each other better.

Like other new GM offices across the region, the Gurgaon headquarters office has factored in the environment. Lights equipped with sensors automatically shut off when no one is nearby, saving energy.
