Exicom installs 125 EV chargers in Delhi-NCR for EESL

Exicom has installed 100 units of 3.3kW AC charger and 25 units of 15kW DC fast chargers in Delhi-NCR Region for Energy Efficiency Services (EESL) program for adoption of EVs in India.

Gurgaon-based power and energy solution provider Exicom Tele-Systems today deployed electric vehicle chargers under the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) procurement program at different locations in Delhi-NCR region.

These include 100 numbers of 3.3 kW AC chargers and 25 numbers of 15kW DC fast chargers. These will be used to charge the Tata Tigor and Mahindra e-Verito sedans procured by EESL under phase-1 of 10,000 vehicles.

The chargers are fully compliant with the Bharat AC and DC specifications released by the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) earlier this year. This chargers will allow consumers to pay through multiple options including – debit card, credit card, BHIM as well as UPI.

Anant Nahata, MD, Exicom said, “We are excited to participate in this project and support the ambitious plan of the Indian Government and NITI Aayog to replace all ICE vehicles by EVs by 2030. Our solutions are capable to deliver the performance needed for ‘anxiety free’ transport at the lowest cost while also helping to solve many problems like reducing pollution and oil import. We hope to play a leading role in implementing energy transition and for emissions-free mobility through development of EV Charging Infrastructure across the country.”

Exicom says it has already been empanelled by leading automobile manufacturers in India and is actively working to collaborate with both public and private organizations. Currently, it is offering both off the shelf as well as customised solutions for home and public charging for the two-wheeler, three-wheeler, passenger vehicle segment and commercial vehicles. The company claims its chargers are well suited for Indian rugged conditions, which can be deployed at residential, commercial as well as at community parking locations.
