Mumbai-based EV start-up eBikeGo has launched its electric moto-scooter under the brand Rugged at prices starting Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom) for G1 and Rs 99,999 for the G1+ (both excluding subsidies).
The Rugged is equipped with a 3kW motor, which gives it a claimed top speed of 70kph, a range of 160km using two 2kWh battery and a storage capacity of 30 litres. The start-up says it has used data from its Artificial Intelligence-driven fleet management system and EBG Matics (its patented IoT tech) from its B2B and B2C operations.
The e-2W body is composed of a cradle chassis and steel frame, which the company claims makes it among the toughest electric two-wheeler. Charging the EV batteries will take 3.5 hours.
The company plans to begin deliveries in November 2021. Interestingly, the company says it will offer an overall warranty of 3 years (standard 200,000km warranty on vehicle, battery and charger) and 7-year warranty on the chassis and 3-year.
