Dassault Systemes, one of the global leaders in 3D design and engineering software, has flagged off its 3D Experience on Wheels-Connected Factory. 3D Experience is the software and simulation major’s key program. With a single, easy-to-use interface, it powers industry solution experiences – based on 3D design, analysis, simulation, and intelligence software in a collaborative, interactive environment. It is available on premise and on the Cloud.
The 3D Experience on Wheels-Connected Factory showcases an actual functional factory assembly line mounted on a vehicle that will showcase five experiences critical for a smart and connected factory. These include Lean Management, Advanced Production Scheduling (APS), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), Manufacturing Analytics and 3DExperience Twin.

This year, Dassault Systemes has launched the campaign in two phases – Connected Value Network that is targeted at MSMEs in western and northern India and Connected Factory that will reach out to large enterprises and their SME clusters in the west and south of the country. The Connected Factory journey is in line with its proposition of ‘Create in India’ that accelerates design, innovation, production and manufacturing under one collaborative, experiential platform. The Connected Factory will tour the states of Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for a period of three months and showcase these experiences at various plants and key SME clusters.
The truck, which will deliver the virtual experience of Dassault Systemes’ design platform and demonstrate its entire solutions for the manufacturing industry, was flagged off by Guillaume Vendroux, CEO, Delmia, Dassault Systemes and Samson Khaou, managing director, India, Dassault Systèmes.
