Automotive and industrial lubricant manufacturer Castrol India today launched its BS VI-compliant range of lubricants across categories.
As part of its readiness towards the upcoming BS VI emission standards in 2020, the company says it aims to maintain its lead by leveraging Castrol's access to global R&D and technology, including its experience from the Euro 6 standards implemented in Europe a few years ago.
Several Castrol power brands are part of its BS VI-ready portfolio including two-wheeler, passenger car and commercial vehicle engine oils which, the company says, will continue offering enhanced quality and performance to customers.

The lubricant maker says it is also committed to drive BS VI technological upgrade awareness and education among various stakeholders on the changing automotive technology. Mechanic training related to this key transition is underway, with Castrol planning to reach 250,000 mechanics nationally to gear up for this change.
