BMW Motorrad appoints Navnit Motors as its Mumbai dealer

Navnit Motors, which has been a BMW cars importer initially and then a BMW India dealer since a decade, will retail the BMW Motorrad product range in the island city.

BMW Motorrad, which has officially started its operations as a part of the Indian subsidiary of BMW Group, has appointed Navnit Motors as its exclusive dealer partner in Mumbai. The dealership is headed by Sharad Kachalia, dealer principal, Navnit Motors.

At present, BMW Motorrad is in the process of setting up the team and dealer network in India. Shivapada Ray has been appointed as the head of BMW Motorrad in India. In the initial phase, BMW Motorrad will set up dealerships in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune.

Commenting on becoming a BMW Motorrad dealer, Sharad Kachalia, dealer principal, Navnit Motors said, “We take great pride in our relationship with BMW in India for more than a decade. With the partnership with BMW Motorrad, we will continue to offer our existing and prospective customers in Mumbai with the most aspirational lifestyle and live up to the brand promise ‘Make Life a Ride’.” 

The new showroom is located at Lotus Trade Centre and the aftersales facility is located at Laxmi Industrial Estate in Andheri West. Earlier, Navnit Motors was operating as authorised importer of BMW Motorrad with a sales outlet in Mumbai and Bangalore. The dealership says it will deliver international standards of sales, service, spare-parts and business systems in all processes to ensure that customers receive best-in-class post sales ownership experience.

Navnit Motors' relationship with the BMW Group began in 1994 as as an official importer of BMW cars in India. Since the inception of the BMW Group’s Indian subsidiary in 2007, the company has been the dealer partner for the German carmaker in Mumbai, Bangalore and Mangalore. It is also the dealer partner for the Mini brand in Bangalore.
