Bajaj sells 242,516 motorcycles in October 2019, down 14% YoY
Bajaj Auto sold a total of 398,913 motorcycles in the month of October 2019, decline of 8 percent as compared to October 2018 but an 18 percent growth as compared to September 2019.
Pune-based two- and three-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto has announced its sales for October 2019. The company sold 242,516 motorcycles, down 14 percent compared to same period last year (October 2018: 281,582 units).
In terms of exports, the company shipped 156,397 units, a YoY growth of 3 percent with October 2018 figures reported at 151,403 units. In comparison, Bajaj Auto saw a MoM growth of 65,168 units (September 2019: 177,348 units). However, it's export figures went down by 2,985 units as compared to September 2019.
In terms of total sales (domestic and export), Bajaj sold 398,913 motorcycles, down 8 percent as compared to October 2018 (432,985 units), but a 18 percent growth compared to September 2019 (336,730 units).
In the duration of April to October, Bajaj Auto reported a 12 percent decline in its motorcycle sales with 1,374,802 units in comparison to the same period in 2018 (1,568,715 units). Till October, Bajaj Auto has exported 1,090,978 units, a 7 percent YoY growth.
