Auto Expo 2014: DSK Hyosung debuts at Auto Expo, launches Aquila 250

Debuting at the ongoing Auto Expo 2014, the Pune-based retailer of Korean motorcycles, DSK Hyosung has launched the much-awaited 250cc cruiser, Aquila 250 for a retail price of Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Aquila 250 is powered with a V twin-cylinder, oil-cooled, 8-valve engine, which produces peak power of 26.21bhp at 9500 rpm.

The Aquila 250 will be available in three colour options of white, red, and black and will be assembled locally by the company at its assembly plant near Pune. The just-launched cruiser is the first of its kind in the quarter-litre segment. The company has lined up other motorcycles also like the 125cc RT125D, the 250cc GD 250N and the 250cc Comet 250, which it plans to launch later this year. These models are also on display at the company’s pavilion at the ongoing Expo.

Shirish Kulkarni, chairman, DSK Hyosung, said: “This is the first time we are participating at this mega auto event and we wanted to mark our entry with oodles of luxury, style and performance and decided that the best way to do it was to introduce the real cruiser – the Aquila 250. This luxury cruiser is the first-of-its kind in the Indian market and will offer unparallel ride quality, performance, cruiser comfort and stability for speed connoisseurs. Apart from the Aquila 250, we are also showcasing three of our future bikes (RT125D, GD250N and Comet 250) that will give a glimpse into the brand’s vision in terms of superior design, engineering and technological advancement.”
