Audi India to offer two powertrain options for e-tron twins
The Audi e-tron 50 will come powered by a 71.2kWh batterywhile the e-tron 55 will get 95kWh battery pack.
After having commenced bookings for its upcoming all-electric e-tron twins, which will be introduced in the market on July 22, Audi India has revealed that it will offer the e-tron and the e-tron Sportback in two powertrain options.
While the e-tron 50 will draw power from a 71.2kWh battery pack and deliver 308hp, the e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55 will come with a bigger 95kWh li-ion battery pack that will produce 402hp and 664Nm of peak torque.
All three variants will come equipped with a dual-motor setup and Audi’s ‘Quattro’ all-wheel drive system as standard. On one hand, the Audi e-tron 50 will offer a combined range between 264km and 379km on the WLTP cycle, the e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55 will offer 359-484km.
The e-tron is the German luxury carmaker’s all-electric brand that will debut in India to rival the likes of the Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar i-Pace. The e-tron duo will get Audi’s Matrix headlamps and adaptive air suspension as standard equipment, while on the inside, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster and 4-zone climate control will be the key highlights.
For the e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55, charging from 0 to 100 percent state-of-charge (SoC) would be possible in eight-and-a-half hours from an 11kW AC home charger or in flat 30 minutes from a 150kW DC fast charger.
