ASDC partners ISIE, MG India for skill development and EV research

ASDC partners ISIE, MG India for skill development and EV research

Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) has partnered with ISIE India (Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers) and MG Motor India to address the challenges concerning electric vehicles and the sustainable employment of youth aimed at creating skilled manpower for the automobile industry.

The partnership is aimed towards democratising high-end car technologies in the country through online and offline skill development courses for engineering students under Centre of Excellence for EV Research and Skill Development- Electric Vehicle Engineering.

Nikunj Sanghi, president, ASDC said “It is a great honour to partner with ISIE India and MG Motors India for skill development and research for EV Sector. We at ASDC always believe in building a sustainable skilling ecosystem in the automotive industry. The automobile industry is growing rapidly and moving towards the electric vehicle. Hence skilled engineers are essential to accelerate this transformation and meet the goals set by companies,”

The training programme will focus on skill enhancement, thereby improving employability in the automotive sector while creating skilled manpower to cater to the automotive industry's future requirements.

MG Motor India’s Yash Yadav said “MG Motors India are also one of the fastest start-up autonomous industry and as a very young organisation, ISIE is running skill development programs for youth and trains people with high skills development. It’s a great pride to partner with ISIE India for skill development and research for EV Sector”.

Vinod Gupta, president, ISIE India said “Through our practice on electric vehicle engineering programmes and various EV training programs, we will be creating young entrepreneurs and skilled engineers. COE will be established at various Universities and institutes to exchange their knowledge and excellence for EV skills development and research.”

The program will further enable young students develop relevant skills on futuristic electric vehicle (EV/HEV) technologies and become self-reliant, thereby empowering them for a brighter future and further strengthen the goal of fulfilling a broader vision of Skill India.
