Ampere Electric launches new Magnus EX at Rs 68,999 and 121km range

Ampere Electric, the electric two-wheeler brand from Greaves Electric Mobility, has expanded its popular Magnus range with the new Magnus EX.

Billed as a large family e-scooter with “best-in-class comfort, functionally superior performance and improved and innovative features,” the Magnus EX has an ARAI-certified range of 121km per charge. The e-scooter is priced at Rs 68,999 (ex-showroom Pune), which can reduce when state government incentives for EVs are factored in. It has a city riding speed of 53kph and a 0-40kph acceleration time of 10 seconds, delivered by a 1200 watt motor. There are two riding modes – Super Saver Eco Mode and Power Mode.

The Magnus EX has a slanted cradle design which enables ample boot space while also facilitating easy removal of the battery for recharge. The detachable lightweight and portable advanced lithium battery can be charged from 5-amp sockets at home, office, coffee shop, or any plug-on-the-wall charge point. 

Some more advanced features in new Magnus EX are Key less entry, vehicle finder, antitheft alarm, easy to remove battery- recharge & ride again, aesthetically designed wide seat for superior driving comfort, under seat large storage space & boot light to easily identify items. It comes in attractive colours – Metallic red, Graphite black & Galactic Grey.
