Amara Raja Group launches app to track employee health and well-being

Andhra Pradesh-headquartered Amara Raja Group has launched a web app and has facilitated employee digital platform for its entire workforce of 16,000 people to track their health and well-being during this period of Covid-19 pandemic.

The web app offers an online screening tool, provides information about the disease caused by coronavirus and list guidelines from the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and Ministry of Health government of India guidelines, where an employee can understand their risk of contracting Covid-19.

The ‘Amara Raja People Safety Management System’ (ARPSMS) app is developed in collaboration with Doxiva. The app enables company’s employees and their family members to use Covid-19 self-screening assessment tools to understand their risk for contracting the disease. It features Individual employee dashboards that helps one to monitor the test results and also offers downloadable summaries of their self-screening assessments.

All Amara Raja employees are required to fill in a series of questions related to test for Covid-19 signs, symptoms and exposure history on daily basis following which the app automatically issue a temporary e-work pass. A detailed user guide has also been provided to all employees with QR codes for easy understanding of the process.

In collaboration with PeopleStrong, consequent to the Covid-19 situation and lockdown Amara Raja Group says it has extended to its entire workforce its employee digital platform titled ‘WE@AR’. Using geo-tagging, the organisation will be able to understand  the employee’s location, and the location data collected can be used to make help available immediately in case of any emergency. In addition, this system also integrates a collaboration platform called Zippi, through which, constant two-way communication can be maintained with all employees.

The company has also advised all employees to download and use the Aarogya Setu App announced by the government of India.

The company says it has made it clear to all its employees that the screening tool on the web app does not replace instructions from healthcare providers or guidance from state and local health authorities.

At present, Amara Raja People Safety Management System web app is available in Telugu and English languages.
