Yamaha’s all-new flagship cruiser-class model, the Star Venture, powered by a 1,854cm3 air-cooled V-twin engine, is to be launched in North America this August.

The Star Venture is designed to satisfy the increasing demand for long-distance touring models that combine comfort, riding enjoyment and reliability. The standard Star Venture package will include full-dress features, such as advanced electronic control, large LCD screen and extensive storage, and the transcontinental version will feature additional equipment and features to further enhance the pleasure of long-distance riding.

The Star Venture will offer a sophisticated infotainment system for more enjoyable riding, a high-quality finish and body design befitting a flagship cruiser, a new engine with YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle) and a characteristic V-twin pulse and SURE-PARK, the world’s first commercial motorbike electric-drive system for forward/reverse parking assistance . The infotainment system’s audio components have been designed for top-notch acoustics in collaboration with audio experts at sister company Yamaha Corporation.

The cruiser category now accounts for approximately half of total demand in the evolving U.S. motorcycle market. Full-dress cruisers have great market appeal as the perfect choice for mature couples looking for a relaxed form of travel. Demand, according to Yamaha, is expected to remain stable among customers looking to step up to this class.
