With a length of 4.70m, up to 7 seats and the largest boot within its class, the Kodiaq is the Czech carmaker’s first large SUV.
In the side view, the long wheelbase and short overhangs point to the Kodiaq's large interior.
Expect the Kodiaq's price to be between Rs 25-30 lakh (ex-showroom) when it is launched in India by September 2017.
The diesel and petrol engines feature turbocharged direct injection and fulfill EU6 emission standards.
The Kodiaq looks imposing at first glance but you’ll soon realise that’s all down to clever styling cues – it’s not really that big.
The Kodiaq is based on VW Group’s modular transverse matrix (MQB) in which strict lightweighting plays an important role.
The elegantly designed dashboard is uncluttered. It is divided into two symmetrical zones for driver and passenger.
Two additional seats are available on request for the third row – the Kodiaq is the first seven-seater in Skoda’s history.
With a volume capacity of 720 to 2,065 litres (with rear seats folded), the Kodiaq has the largest boot in its class.
