Nissan showcases six Star Wars-themed concept cars
Outlandish concepts released to celebrate release of The Last Jedi. Anyone fancy a Nissan Rogue with BB-8?
Nissan has worked with Star Wars creator Lucasfilm to develop six special edition cars based on the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi film for the Los Angeles motor show.
The six machines are all based on the firm’s most popular models in America – the Rogue and Rogue Sport (known in the UK as the X-Trail and Qashqai), Altima and Maxima. Each concept is based around a character or vehicle from the film, the forthcoming second film in the latest Star Wars trilogy.
Lucasfilm artists worked with Industrial Light and Magic to develop the concepts, which were then turned into real cars by Californian firm Vehicle Effects. The cars, predictably, will not be available for purchase. They will tour other motor shows in the US.
