Nissan to showcase three new EVs at Auto China 2018

Japanese carmaker has announced that it will showcase three electric vehicles at the Auto China 2018, which includes a new electric model, the new Leaf and a concept crossover EV.

The Nissan IMx KURO electric crossover concept vehicle will make its China debut at Auto China 2018

Nissan will showcase three electric vehicles at Auto China 2018, which includes a new electric model, the new Leaf and IMx Kuro a crossover concept EV.

The carmaker states the new model will highlight it's commitment to electrification under its mid-term plan, 'Nissan M.O.V.E to 2022', and Dongfeng Motor's 'Triple One' plan. It will also showcase its e-power electrified powertrain technology. The Chinese automotive market is the world's biggest EV market, in 2017 alone an estimated 332,994 EVs were sold, an increase of almost 50 percent YoY.

Introduced last October, the new Nissan Leaf won the “2018 World Green Car” award at the New York International Auto Show in March. The model part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility, it's vision for changing how cars are powered, driven and integrated into society.

The Nissan IMx Kuro is making its China debut after being unveiled earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The IMx KurofeaturesNissan’s 'Brain-to-Vehicle technology', claimed to be the first system of its kind. The technology interprets signals from the driver's brain to help the vehicle’s autonomous and manual systems to learn from the driver.

 The Nissan Terra, an all-new, frame-based SUV, will be shown at Auto China 2018

The all new Nissan Terra (non-electric model) is the first new vehicle from Nissan’s frame and LCV division under the Nissan M.O.V.E. to 2022 and Triple One plans.
