Nissan Kicks goes on sale in China
Japanese carmaker targets sales in the fast-growing compact crossover segment.
The Nissan Kicks has gone on sale in China at a starting price of RMB 99,800 (Rs 10.15 lakh), as the Japanese carmaker targets sales in the fast-growing compact crossover segment.
"Since its debut at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show, the Kicks has been well recognised by a lot of young customers – people born in China after 1990 – for its striking design and advanced features," said Airton Cousseau, managing director of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Co. "After pre-sale, the response was very enthusiastic. The showroom traffic and orders were beyond our expectation."
The Kicks features Nissan's signature V-motion grille, boomerang-shaped headlights and tail lights, a ‘floating’ roof sitting on top of the glass house, and unique two-tone exterior color combinations. The D-shaped steering wheel and 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels give the car a sporty feel, completing its daring, dynamic design.
