LeddarTech updates LeddarEngine

LeddarTech, a global provider of flexible, robust and accurate ADAS and AD sensing technology, has released the LeddarEngine software to accelerate the development of LiDAR sensors using minimum development time.

A fully integrated and flexible solid state LiDAR solution, the LeddarEngine offers a high-volume solution that includes the LeddarCore LCA3 system on chip (SoC) and LeddarSP signal processing.

This new version introduces several new integration tiers for the LeddarEngine software and compatibility with new hardware platforms. As of now it is compatible with Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, in addition to the already supported Renesas R-Car SoC.

Charles Boulanger, CEO of LeddarTech said “The natural evolution of our LeddarEngine powered by our LCA3 SoC and especially our proprietary modular software enables our customers to even greater flexibility in design and to accelerate their development time, leading to lower cost and a faster path to revenue.”

A few key benefits of the new version include easier integration into existing architectures, enables Tier 1-2s and LiDAR makers to leverage existing signal processing toolchain and to develop their algorithms, support for new hardware platforms and easier porting to new operating systems and fully scalable and modular software offering available to accelerate development and time-to-market

The company, founded in 2007 is an end-to-end environmental sensing company that helps customers to solve critical sensing, fusion and perception challenges throughout the entire value chain.
